The trading card game characters

I originally bought the Avatar TCG for the nice artwork on the cards (I don't actually play the game). But now I've become really interested in the four new characters introduced in this game: Kinto, Malu, Jojo, and Afiko. On most of the cards these characters are featured on, there is a bit of background info on them or some other blurb. Reading them altogether really makes for some really interesting profiles for the characters.

So here's a collection of that information. I mostly put this here as a companion guide to my avatar fanart 100 challenge, but enjoy the info anway!

Kinto

  • (Kinto, cruel trickster) Kinto was shunned by the Northern Water Tribe for his mean-spirited and dangerious pranks
  • (Riding the Crest) Kinto is a braggart and show-off. He uses Waterbendiung to make himself look cool.
  • (Frost Daggers) Most Waterbenders shun this maneuver because the injuries it causes are so painful.
  • (churning stomachs) One of Kinto's favorite pranks is to sloch his victims' insides.
  • (Frost Blade) Kinto wields a sword that is as cold as his heart.
  • (Bubble Burst) "I'll bet you thought you were wining this one, Sokka . . ."
  • (Immobilized) "Welcom to life in a fishbowl, Aang"
  • (Clutches of the Deep) [to Aang and co.] "Come back here! Noone ignores me!"

    Malu

  • (Malu, reclusive orphan) Malu's parents, Airbender monks, were among the War's first casualties.
  • (Misdirection) An as orphan, Malu spent the first years of the War alone in the forest.
  • (Hurricane Vault) Two years into the War, Malu stopped hiding and began fighting Fire Nation Soldiers.
  • (Ward Off) Some say that Malu's spirit still protects the forest she loved.

    Afiko

  • (Afiko, Bringer of Ill Winds) Before the War began, Afiko was a traitorous monk living in the Southern Air Temple
  • (Chi Absorption) Afiko helped Fire Lord Sozin conquer the Souther Air Temple, thus starting the War.
  • (Graceful Leap) Afiko led a corps (?) of Fire Nation soldiers who hunted down the remaining Airbenders.
  • (Whirling Debris) Hungry for power, Afiko betrayed Airbenders everywhere and helped start the War.
  • (Bad Breath) History records that in the War's fifth year, Fire Lord Sozin had Afiko executed as a traitor.

    Jojo

  • (Highway Robbery) "Make with the cabbages! This rock's awfully heavy, and I'd hate for something bad to happen."
  • (Granite Block) "A girl has to know how to deflect unwanted attention."
  • (Head Over Heels) "Sorry, boys. Didn't mean to knock you off your feet."
  • (Seismic Spring) [to Katara] "Hey, I'm just trying to make an honest living. Well . . . a living anyway."
  • (Rocky Road) "How nice of you to all stand so close together for me."
  • (Terra Break) Some travelers refuse to give up their riches peacefully. That's when the road gets a new crater.
