baker's dozen

A spot illustration assignment based on some articles given to us. I did the origin of baker’s dozen.
Way back when, bakers used to cheat people out on their bread by having them full of air holes. Eventually (1200 something I think, I could be wrong), the British parliament passed a law stating that bread must be priced by weight with harsh punishments if the baker cheats the customer (a Turkish version of the law stated the baker would be hammered to their door by their ears). However, because most bakers didn’t have proper weighing equipment, they threw in an extra loaf of bread with every dozen to avoid a sentence.
